Well it was no week 11... BUT within hours of returning to CT I was back on the water. All the ice was gone by the time we got back so it was time to break out the boats. Sunday off to the retention pond over by the aquarium. Fished for about 2 hours and finally caught 1 on the bb tail jig. Shortly there after I lost the jig due to line wear. Monday I went to the pond by Foxwoods casino and tried my luck with a suspending swimmer some more of which I need to purchase. It took a little while but i finally patterned these fish a few turns and pause and whammo! I think I caught about 15 bass! super fun but nothing really big. I know its not good form but I swear I saw a hawg. it chased a small spinner bait but balked at the last second. I'm definitely going back there. Saturday night I returned and caught 3 more. Last Sunday i was working most of the day but made some time for a short trip to the beaver pond behind Laidlaw bus co. this place is tricky but i stayed till i caught. While i was there two other fishermen showed up at first there was a stalemate. No one was catching. Then the fish must have clocked in and the other guy struck first. I was starting to stress like what if this guy i dont know and his son catch more fish than me? Then I started catching. I had the first one before the other guy could release his first fish then I went 2 and 0 followed by a bigger 2.5# fish which I made sure that the other guy saw. all in all I caught 4 fish to his one. Game.. Caleb..
I also stopped by fitch high school tonight with the hair jig and caught my first bass of the season out of there. Its supposed to snow tomorrow. I hope not.
